Adult USTA Leagues forming soon for 2007

USTA League Tennis is the world’s largest recreational tennis league providing organized, structured team matches for all ability levels. The program is open to women and men 19 years and older, with skill levels ranging from beginner to advanced. Local winners can move on to compete in state, sectional and even national championships.

In 2007, The Ashland USTA League Tennis League has one season for adults beginning in January and ending in April. Team play consists of 2 singles and 3 doubles positions. The only exception is the 2.0, 2.5 and 5.0 level, which consists of 1 singles and 2 doubles positions. Play is either on Friday night, Saturday, or Sunday.

The National Tennis Rating Program (NRTP) is used to determine playing levels and USTA Ashland offers league play at the 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5 levels.

Players may self-rate unless they have a current computer rating. USTA membership is required for all participants. Check the Ashland League Calendar for Spring, Summer, and Fall dates and deadlines!
